Pathway to a Brighter Future

Explorations Partial Hospitalization Program

Explorations Partial Hospitalization Program

Through a partnership between the Anderson School and Explorations Partial Hospitalization Program, students may receive behavioral health treatment and participate in an education program to help them succeed at home, in school, and in the community. ExplorationsPHP is the only school-based adolescent partial hospitalization program in Montgomery County. The sub-acute program accepts children and adolescents, ages 11- 18, with chronic or acute mental disorders who require active treatment.

ExplorationsPHP has a minimum of three hours per day of behavioral health treatment and up to three hours per day of education at The Anderson School, which is based on the individual needs of the student.

ExplorationsPHP operates with a maximum of 30 students for a 6 to 12 week anticipated length of stay. The program focuses on stabilizing the student’s emotions and teaching the student acceptable behavior in order to transition back to the least restrictive environment with appropriate services in place.
