The Anderson School staff work closely with parents to ensure that the individual needs of each student are being met.
As members of the Individualized Education Program (IEP) team, parents provide a great deal of knowledge and experience regarding their child. They provide historical information and the big picture from year to year. They share insights about how their child learns, the child’s interests, and other things that only a parent would know. They can listen to the ideas of others about what their child needs to work on at school and share their suggestions. They can also report on whether the skills the child is learning at school are being used at home.
Throughout the year, both parents and school districts receive a detailed report of student progress. This includes academic standards that are mastered throughout the year – Mathematics, English, Science, and Social Studies.
Parents are encouraged and welcome to contact the principal at any time with concerns, ideas or suggestions!
